Most of my work is delivered confidentially and often appears under another name.
The examples below show typical assignments. They involve helping organisations articulate complex ideas, shape authoritative narratives and develop thought leadership with strategic value.
Case study 1: Turning executive survey data into a sharper point of view
A professional services firm commissioned a global flagship report and supporting article series based on a large-scale CFO survey, designed to strengthen its positioning with mid-market finance leaders.
The challenge was not simply to report the findings, but to shape them into a more distinctive and strategically useful point of view: one that moved beyond generic optimism and reflected the realities of confidence, funding and capital allocation.
My role included:
shaping the report’s editorial direction and article series
developing the narrative structure across multiple pieces
translating survey findings into a clear executive perspective.
Outcome:
The finished work created a more coherent and differentiated thought-leadership platform, designed to support both market visibility and deeper client conversations.
Case study 2: Annual reporting for a specialist aviation organisation
A Middle East-based air navigation services organisation required support in shaping the narrative and tone of its first annual report, covering operational performance, transformation priorities and institutional positioning.
The challenge was to present complex technical material in a way that felt clear, credible and professional, while avoiding the self-congratulatory tone that often weakens corporate reporting. The material needed to reflect operational seriousness, public responsibility and strategic progress in equal measure.
My role included:
refining the narrative structure and editorial tone
balancing technical detail with readability
shaping leadership messaging and drafting report sections.
Outcome:
The finished report presented a coherent, authoritative and credible public-facing narrative
Study 3: Regenerative fashion and systems change
A research-led assignment for an Australian-European university explored the sustainability challenges and opportunities involved in moving towards more regenerative models of production and consumption.
The subject required careful handling. The environmental urgency was clear, but the real value lay in framing the issue as a systems challenge, involving materials, supply chains, ethics, local ecosystems and changing patterns of demand.
My role included:
researching the issues using primary interviews and secondary sources
translating findings into a clear narrative
structuring the report and shaping the narrative across multiple thematic strands.
Outcome:
The finished work brought greater coherence to a complex topic, making it accessible and useful to decision-makers and stakeholders.
Further examples can be discussed privately where relevant.
